Vitiligo and Immunity

Immune mechanism plays an important role in the happens of vitiligo. Clinically, the vitiligo could happens with other immunity diseases at the same time, such as: thyroid disease, connective tissue diseases, immune polyglandular syndrome and other immunity disorder diseases.

With the development of immunology and the researches, the relationship between vitiligo and immunity attack more people’s attention. The relationship between vitiligo and immunity represented as below:

1) Through the biopsy of a marginal rise vitiligo, and the edge of a developing vitiligo, the two cells are both relative to the immunity.

2) Some people tested the patients’ blood, then found the IgG antibodies to melanocyte and other immunity index changed.

3) The rate to attacked by the immunity diseases (such as lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis) for vitiligo patients are higher than the normal people.

4) The same shape reaction has a higher rate in vitiligo groups. According to the statistic analysis of 904 patients, there are 127 patients had same shape reaction that caused by various reasons and lead the aggravation of vitiligo. At present, the same shape reaction could belong to s type of self-immunity symptom.

5) The corticosteroid hormone usually gain the effect in the treating of vitiligo, and with the recovery of vitiligo, the abnormal indexes of the blood also turns better or back to normal.
