1. The Vitiligo and Gender

According to the statistics about the initial age of male and female vitiligo patients, we discovered that the initial age of female patients often earlier than the initial age of male patients. This phenomenon is majorly caused by the endocrine dyscrasia during the sexual development period of teenagers (for teenage girl, the sexual development usually happens around ten years old, and for teenage boy, the sexual development usually happens around eleven years old). The endocrine dyscrasia is a common factor that led to vitiligo. However, the vitiligo is a stubborn disease that hardly been cured by itself after the end of sexual development. In another hand, the human body require a lot of nutrition and microelement that use for sexual development, which can influence the synthesis of melanin directly. In conclusion, the initial age of female vitiligo patients usually earlier than male vitiligo patients.

2. The Vitiligo and Race

The vitiligo has very close relationship with the lost of melanin. According to the metabolic process of melanin, the possibility to gain vitiligo has no different in different race. However, the rate of vitiligo patients with black skin is higher than the vitiligo patients with white skin in percentage, and the rate of vitiligo patients with yellow skin is between the two above. The occurrence rate of vitiligo could be different for the people with the same race but different living area. The elements led to vitiligo could be variable and relative to the living habit, diet, job, environment and etc.

3. The Vitiligo and Blood type

The blood types of human could be divided to four, the A blood group, B blood group, AB blood group and O blood group. After the research and evaluation of the vitiligo and blood type by scholars, the occurrence of vitiligo is not relative to the blood type. The occurrence rate of vitiligo in each blood group is generally equal, according to the result of researches and statistic data.
