5. Vitiligo is not an infectious disease

Some infectious skin disease, such as leprosy, also could cause the depigmentation which is similar with vitiligo, and confused the population that the vitiligo is a infectious disease. In fact, the vitiligo is a depigmentation disease that caused by the metabolic disorders of melanophore, besides the depigmentation, there are no other anomalous changes. The vitiligo is not an infectious disease.

6. Why the vitiligo usually happens on spring and summer?

During the spring and summer, the sunlight enhanced, and the temperature also increased. People ware less clothing during spring and summer, and large area of skin will be exposed to the sunshine which also easier get burned. A lot of melanin will be consumed during the recover of the burn, and it is possible to led the early apoptosis of melanophore.

7. Is the internal organ disease a pathogenesis for vitiligo?

According to the research of vitiligo, the relationship of vitiligo and internal organ diseases is not cleared. However, through the records of concomitant disease, the gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric ulcer is the most common concomitant disease with vitiligo patients. And, the gastric ulcer also have a close relationship with the mental elements.
